Owls nesting in this study area wear radio transmitters. The devices weigh less than a tenth of the owl's body weight. And instead of being on a defined edge when I'm friction smearring, my foot is on a flatter portion of the rock, and I'm just using my body weight to hold the shoe on. To go up and most important thing in climbing is how you use your feet. Most of us don't have the body strength to do pull-ups all the way up a 40 or 50 foot face.
