The Christensens had defaulted on a $700,000 loan, a debt that has now grown to nearly $3 million. Pending sales of the Eugene Ranch have been enough to keep the bank from auctioning off the property. But those sales have always fallen through. When the most recent sale plan did not pan out, the bank went after the livestock instead of the ranch.
