He was arrested and charged with the crime. And the unusual murder trial of Kenneth McCormick came to an end this week with the jury's verdict of guilty. McCormick is a Vietnam veteran who never denied he had shot a man outside a bar last May, but he claimed it happened because of delusions that he was back in combat. His attorney tried to convince the jurors that McCormack saw Vietnamese soldiers when he got into disagreeable situations, but the state successfully countered that argument by showing that McCromick had been antisocial before he went to Vietnam. The 37-year-old veteran will be sent to life in prison.
