Our problems are basically two-fold, a lack of consistency on the pitching staff and yesterday Glenn Fisher pitched his second excellent game in a row to what earns him the starting job Friday against the Cougars in our pack eight opener. The other problem has been our defense, infielding and outfielding defense and yesterday we played a very good defensive game, matter of fact our best defensive game of the year with only one error and when we get those two things put together then you can play with anybody in the country because you're solid defensively. It's very healthy, one of our neighbors know what to do. Right in our neighborhood, we don't have a lot to do because we're so sparsely populated. But I'm concerned because I have children, and I wanted to learn what my rights were and my limits as far as protecting my home. One day we were coming up and we had to stop. There was a car across the track that some kids had pushed across. We had to start and get that off. We hailed down a wall and had him throw it off the side and then went on our way. But there's always something a little different. This is a place out here where people can come out here and sit in the summertime, no matter where the sun is, they'll be in the shade. Enjoy themselves right out here outside. I'm sort of reacting to getting some people who do live in here about the living conditions. The people say this is the greatest living that they've ever had. Talk to any of the people and they just love it in this place. They think it's great in there. Great, thank you. When the hot weather comes, most people head to their favorite swimming areas to cool off. But recent legal developments might make that impossible. And popular places like Fern Ridge might be forced to prohibit swimming. I don't have any items for what we could have some teleconference. I'll put in the name of the venue and I'll send it to you. But technically, the IMC is asking if we're going to get these additional training panels when we've got a second year of service. Made sure that there is plenty of room between the courts, between the 24 feet between the course, which is netting in between the courses, and also a lot of room. Thank you. We don't want to get in the position of being in a lawsuit, and we don't wanna seem to be fighting the neighbors here. And we're just gonna try to think about it over the next few days and decide what to do. If we leave, we'll try to return the site to as near a former condition as possible and leave it in a way that won't be offensive to the neighborhood. There's a lot of effort put into making it the tennis facility, a first-class tennis club. Examples of that are being wide areas between the indoor tennis courts. We'll have 24 feet between the courts, which allows for nearly double of what you may find at other clubs. And also a 45-foot roof keep will allow for... What are you thinking of it? We would expect to be able to sponsor some prize money tournaments to a scale where we may be able to offer $500 to the winner to begin with, and this would begin to get, you know, some good kind of flair coming into Eugene and hopefully it will build from there. If people refuse to cooperate, then there's some recalcitrant people and we may be forced to issue some citations. But if the people do not cooperate, we do not want to be a police force. It's not my purpose for park staff to be policemen. If people do NOT cooperate, well then we'll be forced into bringing waterway. We're not the only one. Every publisher will be in trouble in trying to find sources of paper in Canada, other places, wherever they can find paper. But our problem then would be to, we'll have to find other ways to reduce the size of the paper. I mean, reduce it drastically at that time. We'd like to see increased public access so that the community can talk to itself back and forth amongst members of the community and share their ideas and their concepts. And there's really no protection for that. There's really not mechanism to give the public that access. We bought the property with a conditional use permit on it and septic approval. We were assured by the county planning staff that the conditional use permit has a letter stating that the conditional use permits goes with the land that the septic approval was transferred with the land in the sale. We were sure that as long as it was for church use that we could build anything that we wanted up here. Oh no, it's okay, it'll be fine, it will be fine. I can't watch them 24 hours a day. Well, initially, we asked the parents to wait for a few hours to see if the children had returned home because we have a lot of youngsters that do leave for a short period of time. Once we learned that they had not come home near midnight last night, we reached the teletype, began checking the neighborhood, establishing information on the... Well, we have to win the state tournament first with the 13-game tournament we're hosting here in Eugene, which will be a fairly tough tournament. And if we win that or take second place, we're entitled to go to the regionals, which are held in Kelso, Washington. There'll be five states represented in that tournament. There'll Alaska, Montana, Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. And that'll be a tough tournament to win. If we win, there'll be one team out of that tournament that goes to the national tournament in San Antonio. How things are going for you this year. Have a good time. We've had a real good season, Rick. We played the type of competition that we'll be playing in the national tournament all year, and we've beaten a lot of real good ball clubs this year. I mean, really good ball club. It's like sitting with your grandmother or somebody who you've known for a long time. We've been around here for about 10 years and we feel like we've been a part of the community. And we feel something's happening to the community where they're not taking care of themselves or taking care the agency that is serving them. It's really important to know who the sitting governor is if he really understands people's feelings and will be able to handle the limiting government spending and handle property tax relief. And that's been my record. It's not been bogged. See ya. Well, there wasn't too much concern about it because we've had experience of this before, but we did have a problem with the other boy because he was just young and epileptic and he was on medication and stuff. The Willamette National Forest Service in Eugene has announced three important public meetings at the end of this month. Tuesday, February 29th at 7.30 p.m. In Salem, in room 20 of the Capitol Building. Two in Eugene, Wednesday, March 1st, Harris Hall at 7 p. M. And Saturday, March 4th, 10 a.m., also in Harris Hall. During the meetings, the Forest Service will attempt to gage public feeling about maintaining portions of the Willamett National Forest as wilderness areas. In an interview yesterday, Forest Supervisor Zane Smith said in this preliminary study, he believes there are no areas in the Willamette National Forest that would qualify under the federal guidelines as a wilderness area. By this June, the Forest Service must make a decision on whether or not to authorize a wilderness study of about 10 questionable areas. Smith says the decision will be almost irretrievable. Of course, the alternatives are simple. In none of the areas, if none of areas is designated as a Wilderness, They must be designated in some form or other as multiple youth areas. That, of course, could include timber harvesting, recreation areas, and so on. The June decision will be a decision to either approve or disapprove a wilderness study, not to declare the areas. But the study... One, two, three, four, five, testing. One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Five. One, need and possibilities for timing the burn to minimize the air pollution problem. It became becoming a problem at that time. It was soon supported by funds from the seed industry to intensify this research to examine what are the contributions to air pollution from burning, how can we minimize these, the effect of burning, and what were alternate methods that could be developed to replace burning. Then the state legislature supplied funds which we've been operating for the past three years. This is the third year of the study under state funds. That were provided to look very closely at alternate methods of removal, timing to remove the pollen in certain localities, and also to search for utilization of the straw. We felt all along that the real key to the solution of the pollen would be to find some use of the strong and make it too valuable to burn. And by so doing, then, supplying some for the growers to afford. To change their focus from their thinking of their needs to something more simple. Anything that we can do to help develop this understanding of thinking of our needs because if we could find a new sort of thought that would be valuable and something that we might not be able to see, we could actually solve that problem for as long as we can. We could even try to use alternate methods that are not relevant to
