Taxes on their land, of course, that's over with. And then they've fertilizer, chemicals for their new crops. And with a high interest rate, some of them are just going to sell, even if it is at a loss, hoping they can make it up another year. But it makes it look bad for next year's crop now, because if it drops down now, we lose a lot of this market. I don't know what we're going to do with it. Really, we've got more wheat than we can use. This wheat was planted in November for harvest and sale this summer. Wheat crops have gotten a good start, a warm fall, and lots of moisture. Looks like it could be a bumper crop for wheat here in the Willamette Valley, depending on the weather conditions in the spring. Hopefully then, wheat growers won't be affected by what happens in the political arena. Debbie Sagura for Eyewitness News in Junction City. We discovered that sewer is quite a toxin and so we want to take the sewer out of our wash water before it goes into the sewer system to prevent any kind of environmental damage. So basically today you're saving it both for monetary and environmental. Yeah, I have to confess it's probably be more for the monetary right now. Example of our heavy commercial zone. Once you get out of the 15 foot setback, you can build as high and as big as you'd like, as long as it's structurally sound. The new proposed code will put some restriction on that. In a heavy commercial, for example, they would be allowed 20 foot of height, 100 square feet. Okay? Yeah. We have to do this one. I think it was a weighing of the risk of whether Trojan operates or whether it doesn't operate. I feel that Trojan is probably going to operate, but it could be very costly to EWEB if it doesn't. We left the tower in the Northwest Power Pool. All costs are paid by Bonneville and all of the Northwest utilities in case something happens with Coding. What was the thing that spent two years in the gathering? And I wanted to stress it, and that recruitment process, that would take at least two months to recruit. All of the options recommend the higher-level cases that we would expand the medical leadership role. We are opposed to having only a part-time position, that a full-time... We have the forms. They're here in the assessor's office. And people should come in and pick that form up. Actually, they can come in file it. Just come in, and file it, and leave again. That's the best way to do it. If someone should buy a new home after April 1st through the end of June of this year, they have 30 days after they purchase the house to file that form. You've gotta bring it to the people. You can't let rumors run wild and have friend against friend, neighbor against neighbor, husband against wife. This was... This is what is happening all these teachers are threatening to quit but you won't tell me aren't home and they think well it's just my number one i'm not saying the teachers were wrong I feel that every person has a right to be heard, whether you like him personally or professionally. He has a Right to be Heard. And by having this a close session, by myself, who didn't get along with the man, I feel well gone sorry for somebody in this country who can't even use the democratic system. More grades here for you. More grades, yes. I think this was indicated last night at the end of the public meeting when I think every board member spoke and requested this of the public that we let bygones be bygons. The board is united and we want you to know that we're united and we hope that you will unite and let's get some positive things in the news now about and not always the naked. I'm concerned because of the lack of American supervision and the reduction in the ability for the county knowing to identify health problems among their population, but to do something about them once they've been identified, and I don't see that happening. We can look them over now. The deal with your recent administrative general administrative change And so it seems to me that one of the most important things will be, will this solution stand the rigors of probing for 1980-81 in the next subsequent fiscal time frame? It's because I have an awful lot of word-to-mouth discussions about safety, word- to-mouth news on safety programs, and because of the cooperation and the interest in safety by every employee on campus. We'll try to scratch them. Well, the whole group, I think they're going to be a family group. They're flat, right? Yeah, but you cut them up. We do want to help this project. It's just one of the greatest things really to be working on because you're helping someone who never would have just sent help otherwise. Now why don't you tuck the knob there. Okay, now tuck it again. Put your hand over. Tuck it in. Yeah. Yeah, okay. That's your only. Cool. You know, the way your liver is working isn't any different, and we all do that. One is that older people have more chronic conditions, and people with chronic conditions such as arterial and venous disease are more susceptible to the variance in temperature. The second is that some senior citizens have decreased cerebral function, inability to think clearly. Problems in orientation and may not be as aware of changes in their environment and changes in their own body functions. And the third is, is that many senior citizens tend to be less active. I don't know. Yeah, and you have to be careful if you just, uh, if you get to a higher temperature, like I don't know how high that is. Yeah, I think that's what we want. I don't think it follows the most democratic procedure, as the most Democratic procedure would have been for the entire council to make a selection rather than just to approve these selections made by one person. That's why the counselor here did raise the issue that it could be more direct participation if... Those artists who are actually on the board. Well, I think that's true, but I think also, that may have some direct effect also on the sensitivity of that commission. The idea that perhaps they could lobby, I think, with one of the words used earlier today by another counselor, with all of the additional background, might give them a better position with which to do that from. And I think that the general arts community was assured that we would have direct input into the decision-making process, and we assumed that meant a position on the performing arts commission. We were not given that. That's all I have to say. Any of the same attributes that Paul Bailey has. We're looking for someone that has some vision, we're looking to someone that's progressive, and we're look to someone that has operational experience in management of correction. Have you, you know what's tactical? They say they know what they need. You know, say, uh, the whole other stuff. Um, do y'all, do you guys think about that? I don't know what island it is, but I think it's probably a star. The migrant student within the traditional educational system just doesn't fit in for lots of reasons. Cultural, sometimes it's cultural, sometimes if there's a language barrier. The mobility factor is definitely there. And once they get behind, it's hard for them to catch up. The United States and Russia have less bombs than the rest of the world, I forget the last statistics, but a hundred times lower. Well, maybe it'll be delivered. Okay, they shouldn't have done that, you know, when they dropped H-bomb bombs. There'd be something, I'd say that, John. So we're gonna go grab it, huh? We're gonna grab it. We need to go in there. We're going to go grab the gun and go fight for this. We're all going to grab it huh? We're not gonna go grabbing. We need, we need to, we're going in there and we're all gonna go. I want to take architecture, I want to get it, I'm trying, and I might get close to it. What do you hope to get out of it, Tim? Well, after I get my GED, I want to study for either teaching or being a social worker with migrants. Thank you. Would you have had the chance to finish high school if this program wasn't around? I'm not really. India, that's how it's done. Just a friend. Nothing people are going to look up I thought there was only two of them. Now, how many could you know at any time? It's still some of the, uh, the under, sub-sector of the uh... When I was there, they were taking blood from someone that was intoxicated and they knew about it, the supervisor knew about it and she didn't seem to care. She just put the guy's arm back down, which he had already pulled out the needle, and re-spec him and kept taking the blood. I went in for the tetanus shot and he told me to take off my blouse to give me a shot in my arm which I felt kind of ridiculous because it wasn't sure if I could have easily been pulled up to my shoulder. There were incidences that I thought were jeopardizing my nursing license, and there were things that I would bring up with my manager, Billy Taylor, and I got no response from her. But I told her about, and there was a couple of different people. That's a very high-volume place. We were expected to get through the maximum donors in the day that we could, which for there was to be, well, her hope is for 120. They're doing about 50 or 60 a day now. Their clientele is a whole lot different. They seem to attract mostly students. And if it was me, I would rather have one of their units of plasma in me than I would some of the people who have come through Highland. Would you ever give blood at Highland? No. Beads work on it. Beads were introduced by the Hudson Bay Training Company originally in the late 1700s in the United States. And beads change in appearance and in size through the years, about every 10 to 20 years. And by the beads, the color, the size that are used on the clothing, you can basically... OK. I'm going to get this. And I'll turn it on now, so if you want to. I'll just say you don't have to be all the time. It in and I thought it was incredible. I was a little nervous about getting there myself today. Some of them came from up the river as far as Vida and some in Springfield that were really kind of scared coming across the bridge but they were all here and their meals are all out on time. Traffic's moving normally now, but it wasn't this morning. For many people, getting to work on time was an absolute headache. For me, well, since I planned ahead, it was a pleasure. Whether I'll need this machine tomorrow, only Dave Sweeney knows for sure. Cruising the streets of Eugene, this is Peggy Jo Abraham from eyewitness news. Uh, so we, it's a very, um... When I start, I usually pause for just like half a second to a second to see what he's going to do. He grabs my ankle, I'll go back and fight the ankle. And if he just tries to block me, I can come around. I'm not really an escape man. I don't try for any one-pointer. I try mostly for the reversal. And that's why I wait. And he gives me a chance to see where his weight is, and then I'll counter from there. I'm more confident now. Like, last year I wrestled quite a bit. I put in 25 to 30 matches, but I wasn't confident I would wrestle good against a good guy and real bad against somebody that wasn't a kid and they beat me. And this year I'm a lot more consistent. I feel like my moves are working a lot better for me, my timing is good, and we're pretty much all together this year. My car is up there, it went off the road, so I'm walking home, I got tired of waiting, I waited for about an hour for a sand or a gravel track and nobody came, so decided to walk home and see what I'm going to do. I'm going to go to the other room. I'm just going to sit down for a moment. Hmm, you're going to be really stressed out. I'm really going to have to get it. I'm not going to let you. Just going to roll around. We had a strong reaction both in favor of it and against it. And probably the single thing that stopped us from doing it was that there's a clause in the contract that the union and the classified staff that work at the university have that says that it must be 65 degrees or above in their working environment. Well, I think the real issue was a little lack of planning on the part of the student body not involving enough people. So that when the faculty and staff found out about it on Friday morning, they were a little upset that they had not been included. We'll help you see exactly what you need to get to know what you're going to need for the first day of the week. And then we'll turn it down later in the day. Using a full-time music director is the first step, providing that assistance. The next several years will be a period of rapid growth and development as we get ready for the move into the past. This trade will be crucial in the long-term success of the company. Well, we don't have to do that this time. We don't need to locate it underneath. That's the big deal. This is finding the hole from the other part of the sewer line. How do you think that's going to work? So we got people we got to take care of first. And that's what I'm taking out. The people that the city is in need of right now. We can take care what they got. That's what we're looking for. When we get this thing solved and everything, that's our end zone. I'm going to stick by my guns on this one. It's good, you know. It's hard. Yeah. There's no problem with that. It's alright. We probably have 1,700 to 2,000 people on the lagoon and it's actually designed for around 2,700. So we have that much more we can put on it, you know, if everything's working right. The mayor here says this problem is solved, at least for today, but another half inch of rain could produce enough runoff to raise the water level in this lagoon to seven inches it would take to overflow its banks. In Bonita, this is Lisa Stark for Eyewitness News. One of the highlights of the program is that Mickey Mantle, Billy Martin, Roy Wills, all of the future celebrities will jump into batting cage and take some swings and we drop the batting cage right in the gym and that's always a highlight of the programs. For those that are more interested in really learning how to teach baseball and getting into the fundamentals and breaking it down a little bit, we do have two separate segments. One is the coach's corner and the other is the regular section and in that one it's primarily your father and son. The coaches' corner part of the program is your high school coaches, college coaches, many of your Babe Ruth, Little League, etc. Coaches, and guys who really want to learn how to instruct in some of the inside part of baseball. We want something in the past year. But we don't want to hold it in now. So we need to work on that. We need to really work on the program to make sure that when we come in here, when we're working on it, we're going to be able to do it. And I think that's what we need. There are some in the van, but there's so many in the fridge. And so the thing that we take that time is probably rather with me.
text/plain
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69636/file/156049#t=37.38,3077.5
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69636/file/156049/transcript/86154
["English [Transcript]
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69636/file/156049/transcript/86154/annotation/2
https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/154/original/trint_Coll427_fv465_transcript.vtt?1762203595
text/vtt
en
https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/154/original/trint_Coll427_fv465_transcript.vtt?1762203595
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69636/file/156049/index/51604
["Coll427_FV465 [Index]
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69636/file/156049/index/51604/annotation/3
["Title
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69636/file/156049#t=0.0,3168.212
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69636/file/156049/index/51604/annotation/4
coll427_fv465_01 Wheat
coll427_fv465_02 Springfield Signs
coll427_fv465_03 Evergreen Silver
coll427_fv465_04 WX
coll427_fv465_05 Wheat
coll427_fv465_06 Evergreen Silver
coll427_fv465_07 WX TX
coll427_fv465_08 Signs
coll427_fv465_09 Wheat Recap
coll427_fv465_10 Truck Ax
coll427_fv465_11 Springfield Signs
coll427_fv465_12 626 Vote
coll427_fv465_13 Trojan-EWEB
coll427_fv465_14 Art Open
coll427_fv465_15 House Construction
coll427_fv465_16 Health Management
coll427_fv465_17 Movers Revenue
coll427_fv465_18 Marcola
coll427_fv465_19 Marcola Folo
coll427_fv465_20 Health Mgt.-Thomas
coll427_fv465_21 LCC Safety
coll427_fv465_22 LCC Safety
coll427_fv465_23 Health Mgt.-Thomas
coll427_fv465_24 Hypothermia
coll427_fv465_25 Hypothermia
coll427_fv465_26 Arts Commission
coll427_fv465_27 WX
coll427_fv465_28 Arts Recap
coll427_fv465_29 WX TZ
coll427_fv465_30 County Commissioners
coll427_fv465_31 Burks Bite
coll427_fv465_32 HED
coll427_fv465_33 HED
coll427_fv465_34 Co.
