Depending upon the actions of the budget committee and how they distribute the money, we've been asked to prepare this week a possible $2.2 million cut. And to do that is just virtually limiting our law enforcement. It was the attempt to take things back, to turn back the clock, to put a punitive sick leave policy into effect, and to give a pay raise that was not in keeping with inflation, nor was it masked up what other nurses in the community are getting. Now what about emergency health care services, will you provide that at all? If the hospital will cooperate with us in not making the patients pawn in this time in this dispute, if they will stop elections, if they will reduce the census only to those people who are critically ill and cannot be moved, then the nurses from the pick-up, qualified nurses from the pick up line will cooperate with nursing administration to ensure that nursing care for the critically ill or the emergency cases. But it's up to the hospital not to try to operate this is if everything went normal. Out of about 40 issues that we've put on the table, we have agreed to handle two-thirds of them in a certain manner. The basic issues that have been passed over, we've come a long way from that. Feeling wise, how do you think their management and employees, are they feeling a trust between them and these negotiations? There's grave concern between us. Since this is an official document from Washington, or a copy of the official document in Washington, the only evidence that I have now is that they're going to go ahead and induct 18 to 20 years. So they started within the next year or so. Is this a surprise to you at all? No, it isn't. No, we've been looking at this since 1978. It's all for the sun and your gas, it's all for the- you must still be distressed! All your problems will be redressed! You've got to be a friend. I'm just afraid when you're there When you're perfect I'm afraid when I'll just wait till the day gets a little better for me Cause I'll have a little free where it's time to be Some of it's me with more free I'll sit and wait, get the right up, I'll get this way You We just can't take them over homes and put the wheels on them and take them down the road without spending anywhere from $2,000 to $3,000 and then where are we going to take them? All the parks are full. So what we would like to do is gear the rent increases to one time a year and that's to tie in with the consumer price index. Any volunteer following you here at home. That's totally ludicrous. The vote on That amendment was too late to... Those of us who've been closely monitoring the government, particularly the Pentagon, are becoming more and more convinced that our nation is moving rapidly into another major military confrontation. We are horrified by these prospects. The clock in front of the State Capitol building is failing. We encourage... People to either phone or go by the president because he was worried about what kind of Soviet response it would be to such an overt military action. The Willamette River offers a wide variety of... Before we have determined their eligibility, put them on the ADC program, and then talk to them about jobs and or training. Our approach now is going to be front and back, and it's the first time they come in our door. We're going to sitting down and discussing what their job, employment, and or training plan is in relationship to ADC being a transition for them. Come here little boy, you okay? Come here. ...About a fundamental human concern. That is the discrepancy between the ideal, which we... Thank you. We are open at this time. Petition has some appeal, because it would show grassroots support, because we'd have to get a lot of signatures on those petitions. I don't think that one of us is going to go somewhere. No, we don't. Okay. I'll see you later. Thank you for letting me know. Have a good one. Bye. We would have to call a convention where we would have 1,000 voters and they would have to nominate a slate of electors to represent Anderson in the November election. Thank you. Okay. Okay, Dean, now as the chairman of the party, what do you need to do as chairman of a lane county committee for Anderson, what you need to do? Unfortunately, it's a women's issue, and women don't have the power in Oregon at this point in time. But people who are making the decisions are mostly older male legislators, and daycare is not a priority to them. They don't see the basic needs that women have to feel comfortable and secure with where their children are while they go to work. It enriches the total experience of that family. The woman comes home a more fulfilled person. She feels better about herself. Her contribution is valued in the total society. Any negative effects? Some of the negative effects, first of all, husbands feel, my dinner ought to be ready on time. Why aren't you taking care of the kids? Children may feel that they want mother home, but in the total balance, I think everybody benefits by a woman who wants to work and is enjoying the work. So maybe we'll bring it closer. I have a long way to go and I'll be back in a minute. And there's all day. Of intelligence information starting with a Chelsea investigation back in November of 1979. Because had we gotten an older officer who maybe was... We're moving out. How would you identify? For cocaine, which was pure cocaine, not cut, but pure cocaine. Thank you, BDA, because of this. They had no idea between one and three million dollars of cocaine was taken off the streets. We also believe very strongly that, if not all, a substantial portion of that cocaine was headed right here for Lane County to be distributed on the streets You can figure a million dollars is a cocaine that's not going to hit the museum street. That the government really can't make the changes we talked about the way we did that for the health of the community. Inadvertently, turning to the president and the government for what we do. We love New Oregon! Sent pure cocaine. He was en route to the California area, to Los Angeles, on 3rd Street in Springfield two years ago, and he was a local suspect in that one. It was a slow night. We were lucky to get a young officer who was willing to go out and do some really good legwork. Susco was put in as a sideshow exhibit in a brick building near the waterfront in Portland. He broke down the brick wall with his head, he tore up the chains and he went for a walk. The police took off after him and were about to shoot him and as Luke, his trainer, stepped between the police and the elephant and managed to keep them from killing the animal, but they said he had to get out of town with it. Now, the first thing that we don't count on that is the lack of control over the buildings on our map. One map we have is the map of the town. We regularly just anomalize when... I placed a call to the elections division. I was told that being as I was not in the district, that I could not vote on it. And if I picked up a ballot at the elections office, that the computer would be plugged and my vote would not be counted. I do pay taxes for the EPUD, but never receive any benefits from it. Associated directly with the co-op. It's clear to me that I've been on this for a very long time. But as to where we draw the line, it's just a reminder that the problem was not that we were talking about. We feel bound by their earlier decision, which really applies but is not made with the knowledge of what's happened. So you think now with this new information, that might be changed and you might be able to give more support? Of course, you're asking me to speak for the board, which I don't want to do. I presume they will see the situation similarly and probably take into account what's changed and how best to deal with it. People, too, are being attacked in this country. Now, to move from there to your question, we were aware, you know, we could obviously run the risk of our members and characteristics that you're looking at. When the rustlers broke on us, didn't it out of time? She rose stronger, one better battle to fight. You got it, Jeff. One, two, three, four, one, two three four. Time selected by the votes of three individuals, only one of which represents the interests of owners of MSI. It will not be possible for the owners of It is by direction of the board that MSI will take firm action quickly to hold its accusers accountable for their statements. Uh-huh, but I had felt the next day and I hadn't been with him this morning, so I didn't see him. Do you think that you will really perceive it? A lot of people... I said, I want to work. I'm ready to go to work, and he said, we just don't hire women. And so then at some point in the conversation right around there, I can't exactly remember exactly what word was said when, but I said something to the effect of, look, I'm willing to work for nothing until I prove myself. Just let me go out and do the work, and if I can do it, I'll just quietly leave. But if I, you can pay me. And he said look, we just hire women, and that was it. We have to fill the gap that we have with people that we feel like can do it, regardless of what their sex is or color. Are you denying it? Do you usually hire women to help put up the tent? Not as an ordinary policy because you as a woman, they have to be able to lift, okay? So I don't know if this woman was able to lift a steel beam or not. Right, that was good. I'm sorry, I can't, I have no idea what's going on in here, I don't know. I don't know what's happening in here. I don't know what to do. Well, there's a group of Christian businessmen in the community here that's called the Brotherhood that has weekly and daily Bible studies at different restaurants throughout town. And it's that group of men. Basically, basically out of spirit. And without the total support that we've had from the citizens over the years, this company would not be where it is. And I personally want to thank each one of the citizens in Lane County and Albany where we have served them for the cooperation they've given us. Thank you all. You So I'm going to go ahead and turn it off. And then I'll set it up for you. And then we'll go ahead. And then if I have to do the job, then you guys can line it up. Well, we're expecting another baby. It wasn't planned. We wouldn't plan for something like that, no. And if we don't get some kind of help, I don't think I'm going to be able to continue to do that. We don't really know where to go. I think his primary staff has totally misled him in this issue, and we're very confused because he claims that he thinks it will enhance competition, and that is not true. We're very concerned about the power of Portland in taking over the basic distribution of wines to the major volume accounts. It gives the people opportunities to see quite a stretch of the river that many of them can't see in any other way but in the Power Bowl. And I think that's the real benefit to many of the citizens in the huge Springfield area and also for convention people that come to our community that are looking for many new things to do. The DOC permit application for a voting DOC for the community, for the voting public. There was also a drawing that accompanies the application that represented it for a recreational mortgage, and we believe that the evidence is fairly clear that it has been for distinctly private use and has not been consistent with the terms of the application of the permit that was issued. Thank you. Yeah, I think that's the best one I've seen in my life. Alright, you got it. I've never done anything like that, but I can't put it to the army. I can put it here and there. And it's really bad. An additional two weeks to get the forms in and get them filed and get them on this year's tax bill so that it'll show up as a 30 percent or a credit of about 30 percent on the tax bill this October. You have a number one question, seems to be confusing. Number one question Tom, we have item number one on the form. Asked if the residence was not your permanent home on June 30th, 1979, and the word not seems to be causing some people some problems. They apparently don't see it. It wasn't highlighted. It probably should have been. That's one of those things that 2020 hindsight proved out real well. We have quite a number of them, over 600 of them to date that have checked block number one, which is essentially a disqualifying question if they check it. So we would like people to read very carefully that first question before they check Thank you.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062#t=74.64,2795.11"}]},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/transcript/86174","type":"AnnotationPage","label":{"en":["English [Transcript]"]},"items":[{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/transcript/86174/annotation/2","type":"Annotation","motivation":"subtitling","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/174/original/trint_Coll427_fv478_transcript.vtt?1762203636","format":"text/vtt","language":"en"},"target":"https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/174/original/trint_Coll427_fv478_transcript.vtt?1762203636"}]},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/index/51371","type":"AnnotationPage","label":{"en":["Coll427_FV478 [Index]"]},"items":[{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/index/51371/annotation/3","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"coll427_fv478_29 Herbicide Wrap","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Title"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062#t=1294.0,1800.0"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/index/51371/annotation/4","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"A demonstration march in downtown Cottage Grove against spraying of herbicides.","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Synopsis"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062#t=1294.0,1800.0"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/index/51371/annotation/5","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"sound","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Keywords"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062#t=1294.0,1800.0"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/index/51371/annotation/6","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"coll427_fv478_38 Helicopter Crash","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Title"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062#t=1801.0,2917.962"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69649/file/156062/index/51371/annotation/7","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"A helicopter crashed in a grassy field.
