Local radishes and green onions, very good buys. Carrots and cucumbers out of California. Again, cucumbers as low as $0.39 each. Nice big ones. And carrots, four or five pounds for a dollar. Artichokes this week out of Castroville, two, three for a dollar, very good. Also good buys. Green peppers have been very high out of Mexico, now they're out of Florida and they're about half the price and very good! Even the Mexican vegetables are good buy this week. Eggplants, zucchini, half the prices of what they were a week ago. Lettuce which has been so-so. You might want to go to leaf lettuce right now. A little bit higher, but very good quality. So it's a good week, except for tomatoes right now, also asparagus out of the Imperial Valley. Excellent quality, about a dollar a pound. Swinging you over to the fruit department. Good vibes. Naval oranges out of California. Nearing the end of the season, but still very good tasting oranges right now! Also, Texas grapefruit right now Look for the Texas stamp, or JR, or Dallas, or whatever they might say. They're much better than California grapefruit, and while they're available, get them. Good strawberries coming in right now. Prices keep dropping. Quality is excellent. California berries. Finally, out of the fruit department, from Chile, we have green seedless grapes.
