Some of the early results show that measure is passing with 60% of the yes votes. In Springfield, though, voters are giving the thumbs down to the private investment incentive plan that officials say will help revitalize Springfield's economy. Lane Community Colleges' four-year capital projects and maintenance serial levy is passing. The Bethel schools have their own construction and maintenance bond issue before the voters. It is passing by a 51 percent margin. That's a close margin. We'll have to watch that as the evening progresses. Jim Johnson, the Lane County Administrator, a reminder that jail levy is passing. And Rob, as I mentioned earlier, there were dozens of races for school boards, rural fire and water districts and the like today. Going to give you the numbers so far as we have them for most of the races here in the metropolitan and near-end region since we are missing some of the areas. But starting with the school board, Lane Education Service District Board, and we're only going to give the contested races. A lot of candidates running unopposed. Jim Swanson, the incumbent, looking like he's going to return to his Lane ESD seat. Incidentally, incumbent Frank Nearing was facing some writing competition, but it looks like that vote is not succeeding right now. Lane Rural Fire Protection District, position one. Marvin King looks like he is going to be returning for another, or going to elected to position one term for Lane Rural Fire Protection district. Position two, James Hendrickson, looks like will be. Getting elected, and Pete Lilly for Lane Rural Fire Protection District, position number five. For Santa Clara RFPZ, position one, Bob Coller currently ahead of Clyde Beat with some votes in, and an interesting race, two races actually, out of Crestwell for their Rural Fire Protection district. As we mentioned, just a few votes trickling in from some of the outlying areas. All four of these candidates each have two votes each. I'm sure that deadlock will break up as we get a little bit more information. The only other votes that we have right now, the Rainbow Water District has three positions up for election right now that are contested. The incumbent, Ray Warner, looks like he may be unseated by Doug Wise in position one. Position two, Leon Keefe, over Ken Sierotsky currently, and Jim Lang currently leading for another position. River Road Water, Mike Clark currently ahead in a field of four, and in River Road Park and Rec, Mary Houchin currently ahead of Marie Gray. And position two, Wayne Helixson. Ahead of Victoria Morrison. We'll have an update on some of the other major issues toward the end of the newscast live at Lane County elections.
