And I thought this bill authorized $30,000, not any amount beyond that. LCC will reapply for a federal grant in April to try to finance the swimming pool project. But by then, the larger question may be, how does LCC need a five million dollar aquatic center when a one million dollar swimming pool is originally Ken Strobeck Eyewitness and Community College? Yeah, of course the impact was tremendous in the country, the Proposition 13 impact and of course, the impact on California specifically, well, economically. I learned at an early period that you work through people. And nothing is accomplished without the teamwork of a group of people working together. I think I find that no more, never more, than the case than in my work right now with United Way. And it's people helping people that causes that to happen. In a campaign organization where you have 2,000 volunteers, it's truly a team effort to raise $1 million. Too often, business has given a bum rap when it comes down to how they're viewed in the world we live in. They come about, they come across is being profit-oriented. There's nothing wrong with making a profit. But they come across perhaps anti-community oriented. And that is not the case. I think that the business community has a responsibility to take an active part in making the community that they live in, the community wherever they live, to make that community better. And I believe they have a lot to offer.
