But the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs was experiencing a boom, with thousands of veterans rushing to buy housing with affordable prices and affordable interest Great. Then came the depths of the recession, and the ODVA offices were suddenly flooded with wave upon wave of foreclosures. Now qualified veterans can float an ODVA loan for five percent down with a ten and a half percent interest rate. But home buyers are still finding some problems in what should be financing paradise. If you don't start right now you're gonna be standing in the duck blind this weekend reading the regulations. There's been some major changes in the regulations this year and you're gonna have to know what they are. There's four or five things that you're gonna have do this year. Number one if you hunt in Klamath County this year you gotta use steel shot. All the guys who used to go to agency lake dinner and shoot all those lead shot can't do that anymore you gotta be using steel shot there. If you go to northeastern Oregon over there, remember which geese you can shoot and how many. It's all right here in the regulations. Wherever you're going to go, you've got to read the regulations and decide what's going to happen. If you're gonna hunt in the northwestern valleys here, don't shoot no geese at all. The goose season's not gonna open here. Or, if you're gonna duck hunt this year, remember that the season now is gonna be cut in the middle. They reduce the bag limit from seven to five. You can only kill one hen mallard and one hen pintail. Gotta read your regulations. So study up a little bit now. Look at the regulations. Make sure you know what's going on. Before you leave today during business hours, you better stop and pick you up a federal duck stamp and a state duck stamp. It's going to cost you $7.50 for the federal and $5 for the state. Be prepared before you go out duck hunting this weekend if you go out there and get a citation there's nothing that can ruin a good hunting trip any quicker than a citation takes all the fun out of it so be prepared if you're out there kill a duck too this weekend make sure that you're real careful this is Terry Coleman for eyewitness sports
text/plain
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/70870/file/156821#t=1894.62,1986.23
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/70870/file/156821/transcript/90037/annotation/87
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/70870/file/156821#t=2029.79,2030.31
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/70870/file/156821/transcript/90037/annotation/88
Speaker 40: That's when 43-year-old Dick Anderson became Oregon's first million-dollar lottery winner.
