Well, I've got good news for you. Basically in the vegetable department this week, a lot of things that were higher last week have come down. Particularly a couple of mainstay vegetables, broccoli and cauliflower. They were both hovering about a dollar a pound last week. They're down about the 50 cent, 70 cent price range now. So that's good news. Other things in the Vegetable Department, it's kind of so-so. Tomatoes out of Florida, they're running about 69 cents a pound. You might want to try a larger tomato. They'll give you a little bit more color and possibly a little more flavor. Some higher priced things in The Vegetable apartment this week, let us. Leaf lettuce is up. It's about 69, 79 cents a head. That's for romaine, green leaf, red leaf. Whereas head lettuce, which was that high last week, has come down. So head lettuce is a reasonable buy anywhere from 39 to 59 cents a ahead. So that's what's going on over at Vegetables. Over in the fruit department, California kiwi fruit are around right now. They're very good, very nice to eat in the wintertime, and they're running about $2 for a bag of about $15. It's about, oh, a dollar a pound or so. Other highlights in the fruit department, naval oranges out of California, four, five, six pounds per dollar, depending on size. And it's getting late for apples, but you can still get a good buy. If you have no apples, here you can see the difference. I've got some large new towns and some small new towns. You'll pay 59 cents a pound for the large new town and about three pounds for a dollar for the small new town. So if you can use the smaller apples right now, they're pretty good. You'll save some money. Finally... Avocados. Haas avocados are back on the market. You can get Haas avocadoes instead of Zutanos or Fruites, which I think aren't very good. And the Haas Avocadoes are running a little bit more money. They're about 59 cents a piece, maybe even higher. There are some cheaper Haas Avocadoes around, but they're windfalls, and which means that they've fallen off the trees in the wind storm, and they won't guarantee that they'll ripen properly. So I would avoid them and go with the more expensive Haas. They're going to be much better. So all in all, it's a real good week.
