However, a prison official says that number is closer to 45. In Eugene, reporting for Eyewitness News, this is Jerry Dreling. Most of the research for nuclear weapons and what not comes to the Department of Energy and 50% of our tax money goes to the department of defense and it's like all this energy is coming into the military and it seems like what this war is over is not over oil but nuclear power and nuclear weapons. Is the funding too little and too late? Well, it's too little and too late to do anything about the service cutbacks that we're looking at for this fiscal year. There's some funding from the state for capital net. They, you know, under the 80-point funding. Operating budget this year is about 6.4 million, so it's one-fifth of the budget. And it will have some impact, but it's not substantial. For instance, the income tax we would have received within the first year, 2.7 million. Not me. Why would he do something like that? Well, he was forced into a very incredible... So they got off into a discussion as to whether or not there would have been a skid mark left on the road. We have missed a skidd mark because the gravel condition is nearly same. Supervisor saw and in fact looked for it. I believe that Senator Kennedy was not driving the car when it went off the bridge and in fact confessed to a crime that he did not commit. Why would he do that? Well, he was locked into this. By just an incredible set of circumstances that I think that he felt that if he had told it to, if he would not be voided, he would be convicted of leaving the community after anyway. So rather than try to fight it and confess it, I think he did confess what he thought was going to be the outcome of it anyway. Uh... I mean, I need fast food to keep me... I didn't apply when it went off the grid, and I hope you can test your time. Can anyone read them? No, they can't. Mm-hmm. And supervisors. Optimum, you know, high level health is also necessary. But I've found in my own life and for many other people that first bad eating plus vitamins is a good transition. You gradually also get new animals that can make vitamin C. If they were the same as a human, they would make between 5 and 20 point chains when you throw them in. And vitamin C is known to increase the immune system. Americans are deficient, in some cases one-third or more of the population does not get more than half of the government, what I feel is a low recommended daily amount, down to today. That's 5,000 to 20,000 milligrams, the government recommends 40 milligrams. Isn't there a possibility of vitamin overkill taking too much? It's a theoretical possibility, but in the real world, I think it's much more likely that you're going to overdose on aspirin, which, by the way, there are hundreds of people a year who die from aspirin poisoning. There is rarely, if ever, a case of adult poisoning from vitamins reported, and certainly not fatal ones, anyway. I could only swallow one pill, so to take about 10 or 15 in a meal, I used to have to drink about a quarter of an ounce of vitamin C, So they will feel any impulse to take it and look up at the 12 o'clock in a super severe cold. You know, I'm not into this just kind of from a guessing standpoint. I have a very, you know, difficult one to two pack to figure out today. There's nobody back in Iowa that's having that culture. I think it's crazy. The programs would be directed to. That leads to, can lead to, dissension and conflict. We've had enough. I would do ask this simple question. Were your actions leading to separate and duplicative crime funders to see those programs really at the advantage of a citizen clinic? And the client will get away. And be able to deal very effectively. Like one, like one, one. He called me out here to ask me about things and I wanted to know. I've been asked to give bids to do it, and my wife and I just kind of felt that it would be rather a waste of our time and the people's money to do. We just didn't think that what we would do would work. We have health problems, and we're kind of having a concern. We hope you're all coming. We're just going through that problem right here. A lot of people have been sick, and as the year has gone by, through December and January, several grain fields have been tried to be in pelvis, and they can't be. They can't even be fixed. And our only alternative is food sewer, and getting this mess cleaned up, but we're going to have more rats, more sick kids, and we're gonna have a real bad health problem. I'm very upset. We're in the city. We didn't opt to be in the cities. We were in the City when we moved here. And I feel that the city, we're paying city taxes, has a responsibility to the residents that live here. And they've asked us just like, you know, they can't afford to do it, and so that's too bad. But we don't have an alternative. And we all, you can tell by the name of it, it's pretty familiar. Provide the information and we believe they should provide us the information cooperatively. After all, it's the rate payers that paid for the electricity. And paying for the electricty, they've played for all the data. It is at least an opportunity to progress toward the best possible solution, and it's an opportunity for the staff to see each other in terms of trying to demonstrate that they can deliver the service that the program is intended to do. Perhaps have more. We are losing members due to attrition. They can, decisions are not being filled. The city is replacing some of those with CTA workers doing work normally done by regular city employees. And they're doing it at paying those people a minimum wage. And we feel there's a real problem with that. You had to do this last week and it's left for us to work on. During the week was one that consolidates in terms of the separate program operators. One of those alternatives, in particular jurisdictional concerns, should be addressed. If we're not willing to, I guess, take a big step forward and put our faith and trust into something that's world policy planning also come into that. Uh... They have, including the system, and we recognize we're going to have to pay for the system. But the data has actually been paid by the PUD rate payers, served by Pacific Power and Light, and uh, we believe it belongs to us and we should have it without extra charge at this time or have to paid for twice. You do not need two feet of staff doing the same work within one block of each other. That's supposed to be a friendship bridge out there, and I hate to see it turn into a barrier. I don't know. All right, the big winner. We've got a prize for you. How about a chocolate bunny? There you go. Another rooster! Woo! How about that? Turn! You know, the alabale, which is preserved and taken away all through the night. The reason, I think, the reason is, and I'll tell you about it. We found that because neighborhood chaos was strong, we have ordinances in the city to take care of dogs. However, they take it from the city of T.A. That's why I like to say that I think there's a real strong role for people at the local level to play in our industry. Thank you. If I didn't have a towel, I wouldn't have been here. I suppose there's really two ways of looking at it. The optimistic way would be to say that the President and the Pentagon are just trying to get ready for the worst possible wartime scenario that would come with very little warning. The paranoid way of looking would be that we're headed towards a war and that the President just isn't telling us what that war is going to be and when it's going to start. No, you need to do it fast. Yeah, nobody knows what I can't do. Nothing's going on. I can do it. OK. OK. I'll come back to you. OK. I'll be back. An obvious example would be the bee's honeycomb. If you hired an engineer to stir the greatest amount of honey with the least amount of beeswax, the solution to that problem is, in fact, the hexagonal bee's Honeycomb. So it enables the bees to accomplish this architectural feat with the least amount effort. And it's not true, and if I'm not mistaken, one thing that's so very important is that we really firmly believe that we've never misrepresented. We've never once been. The value that was placed on the land was based, as I told you, on appraisals, won by a local MAI appraisal, and which was then subsequently sent to the state for review by state review staff, which they looked at the mark of date involved and they found it acceptable. In the world of politics, there's an old story about the candidate who spends months campaigning, but once elected, doesn't know what his job entails. Well, now there's a manual for Oregon politicians to help them figure out the next step. The time has gone on, we're the citizens, and these people are not. The first thing they'll ask when they are elected is, OK, what are the duties of my position? And up until now, there really hasn't been anything we could hand them and say, here's a handbook. Here's a set of orientation materials. Here's what city government is all about. Here's with county government is about. And now we have something that we can give them. A visitor dollar spent in our community turns over at least three to four times after it transmits itself through each business that secures the visitor dollar and that business in turn obviously is purchasing goods and employing people and a dollar continues to turn in that way. Or don't. What we're doing is called Golgotha. Golgatha is Hebrew for the word place of the skull. This day is called Good Friday, meaning this is the day that Jesus Christ was crucified. And why they call it Good Friday is something I think they named after the resurrection. Good Friday meaning that the scripture is fulfilled through Christ, that he fulfilled all that was prophesied of him, that his mission on earth was for, And that is that he died for our sins that through him We are no longer another burden of sin, but we have eternal life. What they would like to see from us is total dedication. We need athletes that are willing to go out there and work at it and really believe in what they're doing, keep their grades up. Predominantly, that's about it. They want to see the commitment out of our athletes that they're willing to put behind it. And we're talking a lot of money, a lot bigger show, a chance for a lot better competition. Really increase the game a lot. It didn't even come. There's a few people who wait for me to leave to find out where I go. But uh, I ain't got a pencil or a pencil with me or anything. I just try to look up your number in the phone book again and uh... The next phone call will be... Stay behind. Talk by your house in the morning. I'm gonna come by myself but I just didn't really feel like walking out of my house Okay. I figure that you're on the level right, but I don't know for sure. Well, I'm gonna tell you about it, man. If I wasn't, I wouldn't have fucking called. Hey, what man, I was... Yeah You got no wind to hold them. No wind to fold them. I mainly did it because I was hurting for money, and not only that, but I thought maybe I might be able to make a friend of someone to help me find work with what I'm trying to do here. It didn't work. What are you going to do from here? To be honest with you, I really don't know. If it could get in the job. I don't really know, I don't look that good. Everybody's laying people off. They don't need help or something. Every gambler knows that's the secret to surviving Knowing what to throw away, knowing what to keep Cause every hand's a winner, every hand a loser And the best you can hope for is to die in your sleep I was in the bathroom just getting ready to take a drink of water and all of a sudden it sounded like a wall was coming in on me. It was such a terrible blast. It knocked everything off the walls and blew the windows out. Blew seven windows out of the house. It ended up at the bottom of this big tree here. There's this big hole around the bottom there. He just sat down to turn the TV on to watch the ball game. This thing came and the window broke out right in front of him. I'm so sorry. I don't get it.
text/plain
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69647/file/156060#t=43.32,2755.61
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69647/file/156060/transcript/86201
["English [Transcript]
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69647/file/156060/transcript/86201/annotation/2
https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/201/original/trint_Coll427_fv476_transcript.vtt?1762203987
text/vtt
en
https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/201/original/trint_Coll427_fv476_transcript.vtt?1762203987
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69647/file/156060/index/51610
["Coll427_FV476 [Index]
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69647/file/156060/index/51610/annotation/3
["Title
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69647/file/156060#t=0.0,2808.853
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69647/file/156060/index/51610/annotation/4
coll427_fv476_01 Jail
coll427_fv476_02 Georgia Pacific
coll427_fv476_03 Knife
coll427_fv476_04 Knife Show
coll427_fv476_05 WX TX
coll427_fv476_06 WX TX
coll427_fv476_07 TM 1
coll427_fv476_08 LTD Reacts
coll427_fv476_09 Kennedy Book
coll427_fv476_10 Kennedy Book
coll427_fv476_11 Kennedy Book Recap
coll427_fv476_12 Vitamin
coll427_fv476_13 City Council / CETA
coll427_fv476_14 Florence Rats
coll427_fv476_15 WX
coll427_fv476_16 EPUD
coll427_fv476_17 Forest Fire
coll427_fv476_18 WX TX
coll427_fv476_19 Eggs
coll427_fv476_20 City Council - CETA
coll427_fv476_21 Recap
coll427_fv476_22 LTD Reacts
coll427_fv476_23 EPUD Bite
coll427_fv476_24 City CETA
coll427_fv476_25 LTD Board - Freeze Frame
coll427_fv476_26 Free Souls
coll427_fv476_27 Vets TX
coll427_fv476_28 Vandals
coll427_fv476_29 Egg Hunt
coll427_fv476_30 Park
coll427_fv476_31 Free Souls Recap
coll427_fv476_32 Statue
coll427_fv476_33 Energy Forum
coll427_fv476_34 Immigrant Kids
coll427_fv476_35 School Board
coll427_fv476_36 Vet Recap
coll427_fv476_37 Dome
coll427_fv476_38 Vets Recap
coll427_fv476_39 The Way
coll427_fv476_40 Golgotha Walk
coll427_fv476_41 Delta Ponds
coll427_fv476_42 Ponds Recap
coll427_fv476_43 Body
coll427_fv476_44 Gov.
