When I took office in January of 75, there was over 12% unemployment in the state. And now it's down to about 5.5%. This means putting people back to work. It means that people will have Christmas cheer because their husband or father or wife or mother will be working at a job. Oregon needs to diversify because we're too dependent on the fourth product industry and we're running out of timber.
