This week, a Lane County grand jury joined Pat Horton in that opinion and indicted Myers for cocaine possession. The drug disappeared from a police evidence locker last year, and an intensive investigation led to Myers' firing. He has already been indicted for lying to the grand jury. If convicted of the drug charges, Stan Myers could spend 45 years in prison. For the first time this week, Springfield's highest level of government responded to charges raised against its police force. Last July 30th, when police broke up a party because of complaints about noise, witnesses said the police were far too rough. The department had come up with the idea of selling beer and wine at home games and had it approved only to see the school's president change his mind a few days later. Gray stayed on as janitor. Now the building serves as a medical office. Gray began living on a world equity budget. His calculation of his share of the world's resources, it came to less than $100 a month.
