A state agriculture inspector recently found those hives infested with a parasite that shortens the life of bees. It's called a tracheal mite. But not taking a chance on the possibility of a quarantine, other beekeepers, like Morris Curtis, have moved their hives out of the Rogue Valley. It would it would just put us clear out of business if we couldn't move our bees. Farmers depend on commercial hives to pollinate their crops each spring. This is the last weekend of waterfowls, general waterfowl season in Western Oregon. If you're gonna get out there and chase those ducks and geese a little bit, you better do her this weekend, get that final shot at 'em. Also, steel lead fishing's gonna be really good all over the state this weekend. One of the other things that you want to do is make sure you got your hunting and fishing license before you start out this weekend. Now, if you're gonna go fishing, make sure you got a license, new license and a tag. One of the other things you want to do is if you're gonna turkey hunt this spring, and I intend to, I stopped by and picked up my control hunt application cards, some of the game bird regulations, and apply for your turkey tag. You gotta do that in the month of January. You got some January the first to February the first to apply for a turkey tag. I'm really looking forward to doing some hunting in April and and getting me a turkey this year maybe. But if you don't, it's hard to remember these things right this time of the year to apply for a hunting license or a tag right when this fishing's so good in the spring.
