And then it accumulates and forms little arcuate ridges where it kind of accumulates, and piles up. And then again, it occasionally spits out from there and goes on down and creates another small channel. Looks like a toboggan run, very much. There's no indication at all now that there's any movement going on right at the present time. You'll also notice right here is that the ash tends to accumulate preferentially on the uphill sides. Emergency services are standing by just across the hall. So far, authorities say there's no real danger, but worried and curious people are flooding the building with calls. Among your higher-priced items this week would be green beans, as high as $1 a pound. Same with zucchini, red bell peppers over $1 a pound, and high prices on cucumbers, eggplant, and spinach. There are some good buys this week in the vegetable department. Some things in California are reasonably priced. Leaf lettuce, a good alternative to head lettuce, is reasonably priced. Castroville artichokes, 40 cents a piece, very good price. Green cabbage from California, 10 cents, 15 cents a pound, not a bad price. Of course, California asparagus is still coming on at a good price, and one thing out of Mexico that is reasonable this week are the Mexican tomatoes, as low as 30 to 40 cents per pound, depending on size, of course. The real bright spot this week on the market is that we're seeing the first of our local vegetable crop coming in. And what we have here is some nice rhubarb coming in from northern Oregon. Rhubarb is about $0.50 a pound right now. As it continues to come in, the price will get lower. Rhubarb and strawberries out of California make a nice combination these days.
