And it is responsible for a lot of the drownings that occur to the swimmers in the river. Cotton clothing on the river is a real bad thing to have. Cotton absorbs the water and holds it right next to your skin. And so you're constantly trying to warm up that layer of clothing. So hypothermia with cotton clothing is a really present danger also. It's real funny, but people on Martin's Rapids, on the McKenzie, will float right into it knowing it's there, but never having seen it before. If they would only stop above the rapid, walk down and take a look at it, then they could take a look and see what's there and they would know where they should go in the rapid. And that is done by being very careful as to where you put your waste. If you're on an overnight trip or a multi-day trip, you obviously have to get rid of human waste as well as organic garbage. And there are proper ways to get of it. And that's accomplished by going at least 100 feet above the high water mark along in the river bank. And then burying it, and burying it deep enough so that the animals won't dig it up. You obviously don't want to bury tin cans. They're never going to disintegrate. Aluminum, anything that will not be composed in a short period of time should be carried out.
