And that he was going to ultimately go to Rhodesia and become a mercenary, and then he was gonna make known to the world that he killed Dr. King. I think those primarily were his motives from what I could glean from the investigation. Well, under our law, on a 99-year sentence. Our law requires that he be brought before the pardoning and parole board the expiration of 30 years. Well, first of all, there's no money available in Salem for any specific school district. Certainly, if callback in a special session after the budgeting period is over for this year, there's nothing the legislature could do in the appropriation of funds. To assist in this school budget year. Certainly something might be done for the next coming year, but not this year. I think what the governor was speaking of is the fact that there probably and may be well a crisis developing in school financing and that something certainly must be done. But there's nothing that I can foresee that could be done for school districts whose people whose patrons vote down budgets this fall who then are saying we do not want our tools to open. Because we don't want to pay for them. They would be able to set up the business practices they would get into a negotiation between the management of this corporation and the people who worked in it as to working conditions as to wages and the like which is not true at the present time actually at the present time the people to run the Postal Service are locked in by a host of governmental regulations of statutes you see and all they really do is administer the Postals Service they don't really run the postal service they can make very few key decisions they would they would pass to the management this type of key decision making. One very significant difference under the present situation is that the postal service really has a great many burdens on its shoulders. It, for example, registers aliens. It has the franking right of the Congress, which it must carry without any direct remuneration. There are six or eight specific features of this nature, you see, that are at the present time placed on the postal services as an obligation. There is not this type of thing placed on a telephone service. And so that the telephone service is able with strong analogies to the postal service still to do some things on a dollar return basis without worrying about this type of service that we're here talking about. The turf that's been selected has been astroturf. I think this is tremendous, not only for the spectator, but for the players and the entire community. I think it's a real community effort, where we have, prior to this time, we've only had the University of Oregon teams playing in Autzen stadium, maybe five or six games a season. This year. We have all the high schools in District 4 being participants on Otson Stadium, and I can run up into 40 or 50 games. So it's tying the community and the university together in many respects. I think that Otsen will be the showplace of America with its new artificial turf. I think many of the thanks are to many people. I think particularly Pete Murphy, who headed the drive and did a an awful lot of work. I think Norv Richey should receive special accommodation on this because he tied things together, dealt with the people that were interested in putting the artificial turf on the field, and we're just tickled to death that we have this turf available for the spectators, for the players. I know that injuries will be curtailed, particularly knee and ankle injuries, a great deal, because... The results that I've had and other stadiums that have been covered with this turf have proven that the injuries to those extremities are practically null and void. The injury factor certainly has to be considered the biggest single feature. When we started talking about an artificial turf, this is probably the place at which we started. Keep our people on our feet, and I know I can think of a lot of instances over the years. Had we saved one or two key knee injuries, key ankle injuries, it could have had quite an effect on our
