They're still coming in, very reasonably priced, excellent quality. Other local things, cucumbers, cauliflower, broccoli, all. Very, very good right now. You know it's summertime when we're getting local tomatoes, Washington corn, and zucchini, green beans. When these four items start to come in, you know you're really in the local vegetable season. Over in the food department, first off, out of the area stuff, bananas. Great week for them. Prices are down as low as 29 to 39 cents a pound. Melons, cantaloupes out of California, the Imperial Valley, peak season right now is low as 29 cents a pound. Locally, lots of things happening. We thought raspberry season was over. Well, the weather got cool. There are still some raspberries around, running about a dollar to a dollar and a half a basket. Lots of blueberries coming in now, about a $1, $1.5 a pound, cherry season, middle of being cherry season right now, quality is good, price is about a dollars a pound and finally we're getting into some tree fruit. Peaches are still about a week or so away, but apricots and nectarines coming in out of Washington, showing very good color and very good flavor and very reasonably priced. So all in all, it's a great week for fresh fruits and vegetables for Eyewitness News.
