So I'm looking forward to it because I'm going with you and I've got all my shots and I hope you got all your shots That's like, any place that it's out to the Arctic. I might pass it to him. I think it illustrates once again the deep responsibility that the American people have as a sense of purpose in all of today's history, regardless of where we are. We have to get out of the idea that the government must do a good thing for us and then we begin doing things for ourselves, as demonstrated in many, many ways, but certainly very clearly here. And these people are volunteering their time and their comfort, I'm sure, more than a normal volunteer would be to go over there. It's certainly a great feeling, I feel, for their efforts. OK. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Tell me how this started, exactly how this started. You know, now that we sit here and I reflect back, Don, I think of it was just three short weeks ago, on a Thursday night, that I saw the films on television of the Holocaust over there. And I just felt like the need was there to do something. And like so many citizens, I wanted to do something, and oftentimes we don't. What exactly struck you that moment? The bodies that I saw laying around on the ground that looked like World War II Nazi camps that had been starved and are now dead and I couldn't believe that this was happening. I just couldn't. And can you believe what's happening now, Ron? A plane full of volunteers? This is a miracle, Don. It's hard to believe that in three short weeks we could put 27 people who are people who are very busy people that have schedules every day and yet they could give up those schedules. To be here on this airplane today. It's a wonderful, warm feeling. Ladies and gentlemen, the captain has turned down the seatbelt sign. However, it's not impossible to predict the flight's turbulence. The mic says that you keep your seatbelts fast about you for the... Bruce, right now some of this seems like kind of an abstraction. What do you think we really can accomplish once we get there? Well, I'm really excited about the possibilities done. I think, first of all, just the fact that we're coming there is going to give these people a whole new hope that they've never had before. And the fact is they can see someone cares about them. And even though maybe the contribution we make in stopping disease and saving lives you know, isn't going to be a... A monumental thing, the fact that they have a new lease on life, you know, and that's called hope. Someone else cares about them somewhere else in the world, and I really believe you're going to witness a miracle. You're going see people that get well, you, know, simply the fact that they can see that they've got a chance, and uh I'm just really excited about seeing something like that and more excited about being a part of it. Well, I did this much then, I'm glad I got to do this. Yeah, go ahead. You'll make it famous! The stress will come with the light. The street of consciousness pedestrians. We can't see anybody else. How much is it by the hour? One hour and a half. Howdy! There's a lot of grass in here. There's some more grass. The city of a million roadrunners. What is that thing supposed to be? Welcome to Mammoth. I'm going to have to send the car, it's hard to find. Taxi. Taxi! I'm coming. Thanks. Really white. He doesn't master, I think somebody taught him how to master. Good luck. Our authority to schedule you there, you know, we can suggest you may have. There may be other areas within the hospital, you know, that's not particularly within ours. All right, well, I'll just say that you need to close your mouth. Okay. The other area that I want to know about your donation, and that is... I propose that you be treated with that. Some of us are trained for medical care. OK, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. He knows that's how he got it. Thank you. I don't know how you are familiar with the use of the fact that we get to take hunting for 10.4 hours or 48 hours. So this is the case. But at least from what I've heard so far, if somebody said, what do you need worst, it would be lab. So OK, OK. If you need us, call her. Yeah, I have a little bit of lab experience. I can do a smear. And even the malaria process. It's pretty much passed now. Oh, it is? Yeah. How does that come to be? I mean, there's still a mosquito, and there's people who are going on outspread. But we can't do this. It goes down. If you catch it in your own species, then you don't have to worry about it. You can control it. You have people that can recognize that now. Yeah, well. Like this run, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Be real careful about it, I've got this thing here. Dr. Bits and pieces organized in our plan of action, there was two main camps, Konkaitun and Konwa, which is also known as Ta-Pri. And so we went there. And then the impatience, it's one of the Pol Pot things, that the people wear black, goodness knows why. I feel the way he's like. Yeah. Yeah, a lot of them are still in back here, but there's a lot more life and they're closing now. I didn't have relatives. Can I go to bring them in? Did they just lay there? And doing some more checking and they said, oh, there's a big battle starting in five minutes. When you hear the big... I mean, this is when we start getting the Kamea girls to help. Cerebral malaria was our major... There hasn't been as much posh rapport in this area as there was on here in this part of my field as well. I think a lot of the, this is something I was saying here, a lot, I'm a main French team member. Thai, but this was for Kloang Wa. Thai Red Cross were doing an outpatience, they were doing the adults, but they believed that... So we were riding them on the train, the people were staggering down the trail, we were there, they were in the hospital, just sitting up under the trees, they were just taking their way. All those of us working all day. Let's go. Thank you. Bye-bye. Yes, sir. Please start the engine. And then they have to call me back. Where you been? Yeah, right here. I'm going to go down a little bit more now. All right. Yeah. Until they say no, right? Thank you. If he could say he wasn't smart enough to say where he had a pass or where he was from or anything. Thank you. The cake pie is a piece of cake pie from the Chinese New Year. It is amazing. I really appreciate it. Thank you. Let's go get a bite. I'll see you down there on Wednesday. You know, today's video will probably be on the way through.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081#t=1.03,2105.74"}]},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081/transcript/86191","type":"AnnotationPage","label":{"en":["English [Transcript]"]},"items":[{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081/transcript/86191/annotation/2","type":"Annotation","motivation":"subtitling","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/191/original/trint_Coll427_fvm18_transcript.vtt?1762203891","format":"text/vtt","language":"en"},"target":"https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/191/original/trint_Coll427_fvm18_transcript.vtt?1762203891"}]},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081/index/51616","type":"AnnotationPage","label":{"en":["Coll427_FVm18 [Index]"]},"items":[{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081/index/51616/annotation/3","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Coll427_FVm18","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Title"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081#t=0.0,2127.172"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081/index/51616/annotation/4","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"coll427_fvm18 Cambodia","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Synopsis"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69668/file/156081#t=0.0,2127.172"}]}]}]}
