Later that same day, Betty Ann Ritchie was kidnapped while she waited for her two children to come out of a pharmacy. Her nude body was found in a rural area near town. Obrebski received two life sentences for the crimes. He had an extensive record before the murders and was cited several times for infractions while in prison. He was denied parole in 1984 when he first became eligible, but he'll go before the board again within the next few months.
