We would not be anticipating presenting an annual tax operating levy to voters for at least two years. Two is yellow, three is yellow. Okay, two is green. So those people are all returning this particular day to revive their interest in their university and they're really excited about coming back to campus. We have more members of the class of 66 coming back than any other 10th reunion in many years. If it's anything like high school, it's just another day, nothing really special, except we have to fight through more crowds and lines and stuff like that to get various places. I think it's good to let people know, those who have been here and see what has been the change since they left and we see how old the school is by seeing the old people parading and so forth. I don't think it's particularly good or bad. I think there is other places people can put their priorities so more constructive than homecoming. Not all the traditions will return. There won't be an open bonfire because of new fire regulations and it doesn't look like there's going to be a tug of war across the mill race. Still, more traditional forms of college life appear to be making a return. Fraternities and sororities are stronger and now homecoming is returning. But it's hard to tell whether it is a genuine return to traditional college life or just some people making a grasp at a distant past. This is Chip Lazemy, Eyewitness News. From the University of Oregon campus. Seems to be the most popular for Halloween this year. You're really? What? I guess because they hide the face and everything. Can't recognize them. Just kind of go down the line. Ready to hit the wall, ready to hit that wall. Push the whole thing there. There we go, Ruchet! I don't know, some of the plaster and some of my cake in the fridge. That's always a goal of all defensive football teams, is to try and keep the quarterback at least to some degree confused as to exactly what you're doing. And that's what our goal will be this Saturday as well. Although, a guy like Thompson, and then this is a little bit different philosophy than a team like Cal has, Cal came out with the idea that they were predictable. You knew in one sense the kinds of things they like to do, and you could confuse a quarterback like Rock to a certain degree. Although, he's a very fine quarterback, too. Don't get us wrong on that count. But with Thompson, he seems to more or less select a receiver and then stay with that receiver until he comes open. And that's a lot different philosophy. And therefore, it's a little more difficult to confuse him and disguise coverages, because he'll simply wait for that receiver to come open and then deliver the ball to him. Also, part of the challenge that we like to be able to learn is that simply wanting to know. So, just get. Held me up quite a long time. I went to the sanitation department in the courthouse to try and find out, but they wanted to wait till there'd be another meeting to see if they'd lift the moratorium. Mr. Kirby, how often do Wayne County people get out there to check swimming holes' perspective and actual here in Wayne County? Well up until last year we tried to sample them at least last a year, hopefully four times a year during the 1-1 mark. This year, because of personnel limitations and heavy work load in our labs, we haven't sampled the June, what we would call the early sampling program yet. So we're still trying to live with what we had done last year in some PAPs and PMOS, right? Does that concern you scientifically? Well, of course it does. I would like to be able to say that we've surveyed all sites early in the summer and we have information available for those citizens who'd like to swim in natural bathing areas and the water is of high quality. Although it doesn't change that much, but it is possible. We'd like you to feel more reassuring of the information we had last year in the case that it was all right. How serious are waterborne diseases in Lane County at this point? Well, if you're referring to swimming sites or drinking water, I would say the magnitude is different. We have had a very limited number of waterborne swimming, waterborne illnesses. It seems to have the surface water in there. Around Oregon and county government, do you feel that there is sort of regression going on at this point? That environmental quality is now taking a backseat to political expediency now that the tax cuts are the message? Where I want you. Personally, my observation is that that does take place, but it would be understandable, because environmental health has, in my opinion anyway, done a good job up to this point. And unless you've got problems and a lot of public outcry for more services, it's easy to cut back in those areas that seem to be running smoothly. Hopefully that won't happen in environmental health, but in other counties, and in this county at times, it appears that good strong environmental health programs have taken a vaccine, yeah. What happens if we take the... For granted. If environmental health is taken for granted, what can happen? Well, you can end up with situations that we've already encountered, such as an excellent situation with water supply systems. I know the Crater Lake one that is missing often, it's not in Lane County, but we have had some of our kinds of cases here in Lane County that we had to deal with that required a great deal of professional training, and not only on a local level, but even had the I'm going to need to take that for sure. I hope I see you guys when you are born to be. When you're born. No, I'm just kidding. Broke out. I'm not sure how you know that there is a way to do this from the head. We have an epidemiologist from the health department. We track that information. And we've been doing this for many years. So I'm pretty confident that this is how you do this. Thanks for having me, everybody's been on the side for a while, and I'm glad to be here with people all over the world, so thank you for having us. If you're living in the end, it's true. It's a river. For a purpose, you know, just get up and operate it too, you know what I'm saying, you can operate it too, you do what you're saying. How are we going to do this? How are you going to... I don't think we can do that anymore. I don't know if you can hear me. I don't know if I can hear you. I don't know if we can hear each other. I don´t know what you're talking about. I don ´t know. I don´t think we can. I don′t think you can. I don﹑t think I can. I don\\'92t think. Okay, what sort of chemical analysis is being done right now? You end up getting that sort of thing in the lab. That type of sampling. It depends on how often you can go out sample. We try to get out possibly what's going on. Do you end up using interns or do you have people on staff that can go out there and do that? So we have some students who are now present in the lab, and they're able to get out that often, once a week. Prior to this, we won't be able to. The Lane County Commissioners pay for them to go out and do that. Okay, be here. This is what's known. We don't need that. I think he's already done his thing. And there's a lot of things, like the mystery and the black and white theories, that we don't know about. And there are other materials that I'm sure we didn't discover in our studies last year. So, I feel that there is a very big problem. PCDs is another material in full scale third separation and can be used to identify the context of the municipal list. We haven't gotten very far with that suggestion yet, although I think things are moving in that direction. But until we do, I think that it's very poor policy to improve the burning, or even the making, of a residue, I feel, which involves shredders and toxicizers and all the rest of it, because it's all the toxic, and particularly all the vaporized toxic and the fine, that you're not going to take up with you. And even if you do pick it up, it'll come out of the ruby and land over on the third mountain. And there's quite a lot of early marine radiation coming out of these things. So it's in the water. To find the air and the agency is prepared to keep a good handle on what they're doing. And then when I have the questions down, then I'll let you... Thank you. And I asked him, what happened to it when he tore it in two? And he thought, he really did thought, he'd never thought about it before. He said, the same things that I used to go riding in the dream. And so I kept it, and this is one of the reasons why I kept it, one of those things. This could be impregnated into the paper. Into the paper with the plant's manufacturer, the fuel. And then when burned, at a low gradient, the naturally occurring is a naturally occurring radioactive element, which is YDU, which was YDUs to create cancer in other medical services. This is just a great way to treat infections on the side, so still jar every night. Use hydrant water or any good water. Drink freely when thirsty and upon arriving and retiring every six or more glass a day. The grub was thick grub, it's called muc-mucle. So, you know, they thought it was just varietal, but it's something like that. The way it's open now, you get the alpha and beta. I think we have to solve problems that we have right here and right now that are happening today, rather than think about starting a new one. The emissions from this plant are included within this control act of the Environmental Protection Agency and the federal government. Rich, what went on in your meeting today? The RAFA, Air Pollution Authority, granted us a variance to test the facility, find out how much emissions are going to be generated by the plants, so we'll know how much of a size of a bag house will have to be purchased. Does that mean you've changed the way the standards are going to be? Are you simply giving them the opportunity to clean up their act? We're not giving them anything. This will wrap a board. If you're lucky, you're going to score a few points. You're going a few ways. You're a lady. You're not going to win. You're just going to be a victim. You're trying to get value. So, they're mostly mainly in caverns and stuff like this. And that's where they're most found. Right? Thank you very much. I think we feel, all of us, I feel very strongly that it will have to remain at the jail. Now maybe some small part of it could be changed somewhere else. But I think more important than that than to wait until this last minute and while nobody in the planning of the facility has ever been consulted and to drop this proposal into an order is, may have the opposite effect to what we intend. And that is, it may further divide people. Who I think have come to realize the necessity for the mental health unit at the G. Typically, the... I favor a non-declining yield, but I favor it as a current forest service policy. Currently, that is a forest service policy, and the general accounting agency backed that up. I think if we have a non declining yield as a law, I think we could have a vague interpretation of it, like we have with the Panama Canal now, with that one word, perpetuity. I think that's causing us a lot of problems. So if we leave it as forest service policy, we'll have all kinds of flexibility with it. To the very young child, particularly one year of age and less on up to three or four years of age when it can have serious consequences. What's the youngest child that should be immunized? The child should be immunized against measles at one year of age. You cannot give them the vaccine before that because of maternal body interference. That's the indoor and then there's an outdoor. Oh, sorry about that. It's goal primarily will be to make it possible for young people to genuinely get involved in the community to be a valid part of that and to research ways where there may be hindrances to keep them from getting involved. And look for ways in areas where young people really have serious needs that need to be addressed by the city. And this will be an ongoing commission to continue to stay on top of that sort of thing in the future, just as we now stay on the top of how women should be more involved in the community and how other minorities should be involved. This is another segment of the community that's going to have a voice speaking for it. They would do anything but interior decorating that was considered necessary to maintain the livability of the house. Well, who are most of the guys that are involved, that are working in the program? Right now, it's about 50-50. About half of them are green thumb workers provided by the green thumb program and about half are paid county employees. What are you doing? What are they doing? What are we doing? What are these guys doing? What are those guys doing here? What are the guys doing in here? What are all these guys up to? What are their guys doing out here? What are, what are you up to, what do you want to do? What do you guys want to be? What do we want to see? What do I want to hear? What do they want to know? Hopefully, we will establish a non-profit corporation which will be self-sufficient, meaning that we will offer a sheltered employment setup where these people can come and work in their native communities. All the people are Lane County residents. I don't know if I mentioned that before. Beyond that, I think if we establish an economic base, which they can live in the community, then we can expand the educational program and just different community living skills. She's a really cute little girl. So we're doing the scene and the cameras are rolling and she's talking and she goes, like that, see. So I knew they couldn't pronounce it. I said, okay, as soon as I get rid of the Indy and I'll be back. That was about as funny as you can get. I don't really know. But if you knew me, you could tell it was me. If you didn't know, power 53. How about when you were doing something with John Paul on Friday, did you make Friday? And they are seriously thinking of reviving the Lone Ranger and doing it again as a series. Of course it would be in color and they'd spend a lot more money and do a nice job. Because I guess the LONE RANGER would go on forever. Hey! Come on, come on, go, go. Hold. Get outside and move up. Get outside. Get outside! Get in there! There you go! Get him away from him. Get him now, move up! There you, go! Quick, quick, quick! C'mon, c'mon! That's good. That's Good. You can't wait. Help yourself. Get him on the hill. I'm going to try. 45. Don't take a forward step. Yeah, that's better than that. Yeah! Woo! Good job, baby! Yeah! Yeah! Come on. Good job. Good, nice job. I suppose that I'm one of the people that most regrets having to tear down buildings that have existed in Eugene for a long time because I'm interested in preserving the downtown with some of its historical qualities, but the cost of bringing this up to a standard for occupancy is so great that I think it would be irresponsible for us to make the decision to try to do that.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106#t=34.18,3319.96"}]},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/transcript/86203","type":"AnnotationPage","label":{"en":["English [Transcript]"]},"items":[{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/transcript/86203/annotation/2","type":"Annotation","motivation":"subtitling","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/203/original/trint_Coll427_fvm44_transcript.vtt?1762203992","format":"text/vtt","language":"en"},"target":"https://d9jk7wjtjpu5g.cloudfront.net/file_transcripts/associated_files/000/086/203/original/trint_Coll427_fvm44_transcript.vtt?1762203992"}]},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/index/51398","type":"AnnotationPage","label":{"en":["Coll427_FVm44 [Index]"]},"items":[{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/index/51398/annotation/3","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"coll427_fvm41_80 Yolanda School Kids as Indians","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Title"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106#t=3017.0,1.0"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/index/51398/annotation/4","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Children dressed as Native Americans playing drums and xylophones and dancing in an auditorium.","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Synopsis"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106#t=3017.0,1.0"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/index/51398/annotation/5","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"sound","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Keywords"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106#t=3017.0,1.0"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/index/51398/annotation/6","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"coll427_fvm44_01 LCC Budget","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Title"]}}],"target":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106#t=2.0,77.0"},{"id":"https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/69692/file/156106/index/51398/annotation/7","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Lane Community College campus.
