One fellow we had been working with that had just come out of Sagler-Harr Hospital and he was very, very disoriented and wasn't talking at all. And I took him out up in the hills in Hendricks Park and after 45 minutes, first time in three months, he was talking. It was very dramatic. Couldn't stop him. In the beginning, we were ridiculed. We were criticized. We had people stop us on the side of the road and ask us if we were crazy. We were asked to leave certain programs where we were trying to introduce it. There were so many things. It's only been in the last couple of years, maybe the last three years, that we've begun to get acceptance. We were runners first, and then we became psychologists. Pull that up, John. He was 105 years old and he got black lives today. What? I can't hear you. Yes. What? I can. I can hear you? Yes. No, he's right in there. OK. Thank you very much. Thank you. Oh, it's something not over 12 hundred. Anything like that. There really isn't that big of a difference. In the debate about the improvement, would any city councilor who owns property in the city limits be ultimately talking about his own property? Okay, I think Any city council will receive the same benefits other residents of the community will receive from the water improvement project. But they are talking about their own property going under the same kind of improvement. Yes, that's correct. Along the line of what was just said. A mutual hearing, and the police can present a claim to the board of the mutual hearing to please confirm the case. The police can, after more than a few minutes, approval of the project and jump right down to the close. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it. I don't know if it's going to work. I don't know if we're going to make it. I don´t know. I don�t know what to do. I don't. I don! You promoted passage of the bond issued by distributing hand bills. What's your response to that? That we did that there with those that particular complaint with dropped it. We are up to our ears in alternative energy generation projects. We need all the credit and the ability to raise money for those that we can get. And we already have the agencies we need to do this. All we need is some way to make it attractive to everybody to go ahead and do it. So, yeah, so, in other words, if you don't have the soap, you don't have the fire, but you have the benefit. What is happening is you can mix and object together. This is the board of thought. How to survive the 80s. Don't depend on welfare, don't depend on post-bam, get your ambition up and go. And go and go. That's all. I think they better register, get out the boat, get... Involved in campaigns and I don't know much about pathways. I think participation is essential but it has to be informed participation. And it has to be persistent. Just look at it with a lot different attitudes than a lot of people have. Look at it that it's going to be great. And have that kind of an attitude, and it will be great! They seem to be pretty well in favor of it from what they've seen. They've come out and looked at it and they seem to think it's going to work pretty good if it goes over. What are the chances of putting together the money to make it happen? Do you think this is really going to become a reality for you? Well, we sure hope it is. We don't know. We've tried to get money from Relation for the down payment, and that's holden. So we're just hoping that people will be interested in it enough to help. Who bring in our future, it's their generation and it's very important that somebody cares about us. It really cares to help maybe even one of us. Your life sort of turned around, how do you account for that? Well, I couldn't have done it if it wasn't for my father. He really helped me out and gave me a lot of opportunities. What do you think they do for you that other people haven't done? See a real need and a drive to once more place within our lives the concept of efficiency to bring forth those kind of skills of self-determination and self-reliance. I think that's what the 80s hold. Trying to affect. It all depends on who... That's the reason why I want to... I expected you looking at it. Welcome to the center. From my perspective, I think the process is just... Many of these people have been in their careers ten or fifteen years, and have some good advice, I think, for students that are wondering are they taking the right curriculum, are they really headed in the right direction. But another thing that comes out of this is that students often find they visit with people in a career that they have never ever thought of. I really don't think it's a fad, I think it is something that is really going to take off and do well. Because most people like a sun tan, because when they tan they feel better, and if they feel good about themselves, life in general is great. So as far as an artificial tan, it would be great to be able to tan all the time out in the sun, but it's not always there. Okay, if you come to skin cancer and you're gonna get it in the sun, the same thing could happen. And that's all I wanted. Very carefully with trained technicians and we start every... In the long run, people who spend much time in ultraviolet light pay for it. It's the only controllable factor in how rapidly the skin ages. It is the cause of most of our skin cancers. The people who are most apt to get into these light exposure situations are ones who are rather lightly colored, and for them, the ultraviolete light is quite dangerous. Let's talk about some kind of durability and how long it takes to fix things. I don't know. The City Manager's office, dealing with this very issue. We cannot continue under the policy of letting hold of what you can today, for tomorrow may not be available for grabbing. If it appears that there is absolutely no alternative but to go to the voters for permission to achieve the fixings, consent limitations, or to request a new tax base, then I will be one of the first to call upon the voters to do so. Between the eight months, between the eight weeks, we're going to come up and be... On these plants that are operating and the ones under construction, to shut them down. A country that weighs half of its electricity easily can replace the 12 percent of its electricity that comes from nuclear power before... What we'll have is recommendations that we are already sufficiently serviced before we have enough facilities or beds in this area. Rather than closing down existing facilities, the recommendation might be that at least through 1985, we don't see the need for additional services or beds to be built. And it's a project that we've taken on as individuals, as members of the community that are concerned about our community. It doesn't have anything to do with us putting in phones, which is what we normally do, it's just a project we've undertaken. And they are operating in electoral politics. A colossal lemon called the Trojan plant, and the 90 plants now under construction. The utilities themselves in the last five years have canceled or postponed 140 nuclear plants. They're too expensive, they're too troublesome, and they invite too much community opposition in the minds of the utility executives. And I hope for those of you who are interested, he may, you have to ask him, but no, I'm not interested in electoral politics, much more important is this. We are afraid of what will happen to our property values. That is why we have the task force to prepare for this pipeline until P.A.M. On the weekends with graduation. I mean, I think that's probably the best route. I don't think it will accomplish that much if we do boycott at this point. We're in a very flat place, nothing much is happening, very exciting, it's not going up and it's not going down. We're at 8.8 which is minor trouble for Lane County. I don't see it improving any over the next several months. As a matter of fact, I just hope it doesn't get any worse. So if we want adequate, dependable supplies of safe electric energy in this state that we can own and control ourselves and use here as a part of our own local economy, we're going to need some new institutional arrangements to do it. And we feel that this initiative will get the state in its proper role in relationship to our locally owned, consumer owned utility. I've been looking at all of the information that I can find about Tanaki Earth, about the It's almost equivalent to the same as the laboratory animals. And that's a big proof, I think, that we use them. These chemicals, which are being sprayed on our watersheds, in our air, all around us, on our power line right away, on our food that we buy at the food store, all of these chemicals are suspect. We know in animals that they cause birth defects. Why are we using them in humans? The large doses of Fertidide do kill 30 times higher in volume, and I think on that basis we can make a decision to be able to stop using Fertilide. I come to find out about my rented tax return if I had it made out right. And I found out I'm smart as I thought I was. You had it out right? Yeah. I came to find ways of helping to lower the cost of heating and water and all that. Everything that has to be paid, I'd like to see it lowered.
