Let's take a look at some of the temperatures going on outside. In particular, the. Right now, temperatures look at that, 87 degrees here in Eugene, 100 degrees up in the Dalles, 92 degrees up Portland. If you wanted relief from the heat, which at this point isn't that big of a deal I don't think, you could go to the coast. But if you go anywhere else in the state, it's warm. 87 degrees, that is yesterday's high temperature. It's the high temperature we've predicted for two days. So we're patting ourselves on our backs here. But look at the high-temperature in Astoria. It must have been beautiful, 77 degrees in the historic Astoria, 95 degrees over there in the Dalles. Now let's take a look at The Cloud Cover. Not much. Way down there by Christmas Valley, you might see a little bit of cloudiness. Maybe some thunderstorms spawned out of that down the very south central part of the state. A little bit of fog and low clouds rolling into the coast as they do this time of year. Around the nation, it has been extremely cold in some parts of Nebraska, where records of into the 30s overnight were set. So in the Midwest, it's sunny, but pleasant. And remember, this time of year in the midwest, it can be sunny and muggy and darned unpleasant. In fact, I used to go to school in Iowa, and it was a great pleasure to leave in May. Also around the nation though, some thunderstorms could be spawned down in the southeastern corner of our nation. Here's what we've got. I see the western United States. Well that's high pressure. High pressure is keeping all the clouds away. It's almost as though the clouds just don't have a visa to enter our country because look at them there on the very northern border. They only get in at the very eastern part of Montana. Clouds are trying to get in here but the high pressure is being very very patriotic I would say. It wants us to have a glorious 4th of July holiday. Now let's take a look at the forecast starting out with the central Oregon coast. More clouds tonight are going to be developing. They're mostly cloudy It's going to cool down to 66 there in places like Florence. Cascades partly cloudy tonight. Chance of thunderstorms tonight. High temperatures at pass level about 66 degrees tomorrow. In the Bend and Redmond area, partly cloudy tonight, mostly sunny tomorrow, high temperature about 84 degrees over there tomorrow. It'll still be pretty warm. Roseburg Fair tonight, cooler. Now there will be some sun, but cooler, 84 degrees, still warm, but cool-er. Corvallis and Albany, partly clouded tonight, cool with some sun tomorrow, high temperature, about 82, and pretty much the same story can be said for the Eugene-Springfield area, partly cloudy, partly sunny tomorrow. Highs 81 degrees. The five-day outlook will show you the relief that is on the way. 87 degrees again for today. Tomorrow, we're going to get about 82 degrees. Sunday, about 81 degrees. And then on Monday, about 80. And there's even a slight possibility of some rain. On Tuesday, I don't dwell too much on Tuesdays, whereas we're beginning to the three-day holidays. There's not much point to it. But it is hot. If you're going be getting out there, bring your sunscreen, get a big old bottle of water. Make sure your dog has water, too. Matt? As you roll down into the Cascades, up to the Caskades, chance of thunderstorms tomorrow, temperatures are going to cool down to the mid-60s. In Bend and Redmond, partly cloudy tonight, mostly sunny tomorrow, winds out of the northwest to 15, and highs of about 84 degrees. Roseburg fair tonight, cooler tomorrow with a little bit of sunshine, high around 84 degrees. In Corvallis and Albany, partly cloudy tonight, cooler tomorrow, and quite a bit cooler actually at 92 degrees. Eugene and Springfield, partly clouded tonight, partly sunny tomorrow, high temperature around 81. Now let's take a look. At our five-day outlook. This is the beginning of our three-day weekend, and the first day is going to be the hottest. Saturday and Sunday, don't let those clouds mislead you. It should just be partly cloudy, partly sunny, and warm. And as we get into Monday, we'll be getting down to about 80 degrees, and there is a possibility of a little bit of rain hitting us on Tuesday. But the weekend, if you've got outdoor plans, you've chosen a great weekend for it. And, as I've been telling people all week, this is a week...
