But anyway, i it's pretty hard to stay right with a book with a movie. They have to do a little change in here and there. But I flew in after they flew the movie into Vegas, and I went in and seen the movie, me and my husband. Well, I remember leaving out. Ever the theater was empty. Thinking, gee, this is a forty five minute movie, what's the deal? But I couldn't remember I didn't know that I couldn't remember anything that had happened. So the next day they flew me into New York for David Hartman show, Good Morning America. So they he says, Well Loretta, I heard you seen the movie. Of course me and him have been friends for years and he said, I hear that it's quite a good movie. He said, Can you tell us anything about it? And it just dawned on me that I didn't remember one thing. I said, It was a good movie. He said, Well, let's talk about it. So they flew in from New west coast of New York and put me in another empty studio at ten o'clock at night, made me watch the movie again. I didn't remember nothing after that. Here's how the system works. Each department head must come up with a monthly expenditure plan. At the end of each month, an expenditure report will be given to the County Finance and Management Committee. That committee will summarize the reports for the Board of County Commissioners. And every three months, the county's auditing firm will give the books a thorough going over. The department heads will only be allowed to exceed their planned monthly expenditures by five percent without an explanation. And even that small discrepancy will have to be made up in the same fiscal quarter. It's hoped that the new system will make county officials appear more financially responsible in the eyes of the public and spare the county any more nasty surprises.
text/plain
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/70435/file/156381#t=3318.95,3361.03
https://uoregon.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1635/collection_resources/70435/file/156381/transcript/87010/annotation/140
Speaker 40: In my opinion, this is the most important item on Lane County's agenda.
